Beginners Courses

The club runs a beginners course in October/November each year which  usually consists of  5 consecutive Friday evenings indoors.

The first evening session is for 2 hours which allows for the issue of equipment  and a brief  safety talk followed by about an hours shooting. The next 3 Fridays are for coaching and shooting with each  session lasting about an hour. The 5th and last session will be a mini-competition with some medals for the winners and certificates for all. The number of places is limited and you will need to book in advance -- please contact the secretary by e-mail :- info@westsomersetarchers.org.uk

The Cost ?  This year - £25 per person for the whole course-- a remarkable £5 per session!. The club will provide equipment. Tea and coffee available. And there is still time to head for the pub afterwards and enjoy the rest of the evening. Take the course and avoid the mistakes of this lot !!

New Archers

If you decide to join after  the beginners course please feel free to ask any of the club members for advice or help.We can  provide equipment for you as a new archer so don’t rush out and buy any equipment  without discussing  it as it is easy to make expensive mistakes.
